Chupa was wandering the streets of Tempe, Arizona in August 2014. I found him outside my townhome and walked around the block with him to see if anyone recognized him or lost him. This is when Chupa came into my life. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle and be pet. He enjoys playing with my other dog who is a German shepherd and twice his size but she's my service dog and so gentle with him.

Chupa is welcome to sleep on the bed with me and loves to cuddle. He enjoys hiking and camping. He loves to eat and enjoys when I give him treats which I call cookie snacks. He loves when you pet him and will nudge up under your arm to get pet and once you start petting him you can't stop. If you stop here will put his paw out and ask you to continue showing him love and affection.

I am a disabled vet surviving on my VA disability pay. I suffer from PTSD and severe depression from my tour in Iraq. Chupa helps me emotionally and I'll do anything for him. I spent $1,536 and seen 3 vets just for diagnosis and now cancer treatment is $6,241 on top of that.

In March, I took Chupa to the first vet and they said he looked fine. A week later I decided to try a different vet and they took some blood. He had hypercalcemia and they wanted to run more tests. The following week he wasn't eating as much and I knew something was wrong. I took him to a third vet who found his cancer. I'm now seeing integrative vet oncology for his cancer treatment for lymphoma.

Watching Chupa play fight with my other dog is hilarious. He runs away as she chases him and then quickly stops and turns his body to avoid her and then bumps her with his butt. He will put his paws around her neck playing even though she's twice his size. The thing that I love the most about Chupa is how loving and affectionate he is. When I'm feeling sad and depressed he cheers me up.
