Churro is a 9 year old Shetland Sheepdog in Hudson, WI, who needs $1,500 for Dental Work and Tooth Extractions.

Churro is my first and only fur baby as an adult. I rescued her from a puppy mill I'm Richmond Virginia at 8 weeks old. She was covered with fleas and has worms. I had just recently had a miscarriage and by happenstance was donating my unborn baby clothes at a nearby shelter when I saw a flyer posted at a local vet looking for fosters or potential owners. 9 years later and she's still my girl.

Churro is a senior dog at almost 10 years but has life left to live. She currently has broken and infected teeth with the possibilities of abscess that I cannot afford to fix. I just spent my savings of $600 to get her shots, pre opp blood work and fenalbabatrol (seizure meds) up to date. She is a patient at Hillcrest animal hospital in Hudson Wi. She needs 2 teeth removed before they get worse.

My dog is special to me because she is the reason I am sober, a good mother to my 2 boys and keeps me feeling safe at night from trauma of my past. She is the sweetest girl and gets her daily walks in greeting the neighborhood kids as they get off the bus and protects me from the vicious squirrels I. The trees. She spends her days at my dad's house who is retired cuddling his lap while I work.

I cannot afford her very bill due to many factors in my life. I am a single mom of two elementary school aged boys, a full time employee and part time student. I am studying to become a respiratory therapist. When I make better wages I promise to return the kindness here.
