Chuy is a 7-year-old Terrier Mix in Odessa, TX, who needs $1,600 for Surgery.

Chuy was rescued in February and was in a very bad living situation he was malnourished and so scared and we nursed him back to life potty trained him and showed him what it was like to be loved. We love him so much and just want him to be ok and back home with us. Chuy is so special and has adjusted well with us.

He loves everyone he sleeps with me and my husband and our other dog jagger he loves to eat something I do t think he was allowed to do in his past life. He does not play with toys much but loves to keep them with him. He is just the best dog and we are devastated with what happened to him and just want him to be better

Chuy love to go potty when we got him he was not potty trained but now that he is he loves to go potty outside he gets so excited. He has become best buds with my yorkie and my yorkie is so sad now that he has been at the emergency vet for two days. Chuy loves to give love and get all the love he is the best dog. He also loves to give high fives and just be with his family.

We got up early at 430 to go potty on 11-14 and my neighbors dog had chewed through the fence and was waiting for us she instantly grabbed chuy and was trying to kill him. It took me almost a minute to get him away. I bought him inside and he was bleeding and in shock so we rushed to the emergency vet where they gave him pain meds and put him on oxygen. He has now had to have surgery

Covid was hard on everyone I am a healthcare worker so had a job but my husband wasn’t as lucky and we are still trying to recover from the lose of wages for almost 2 years. I can’t pick up extra shifts because I am salary and can’t take a second job as I am on call always
