About this campaign
My cat Cinnamon first entered our lives in 2021. I saw a Craigslist ad of someone giving away a Bengal cat nearby and wanted a friend for my first cat Kiko. I contacted the person and found out it was a young college couple eager to give up their cat without running a background check on who’d they give her to or even asking for money. They were leaving the country and needed to rehome her asap.
On 5/11 Cinnamon came out to me choking and struggling to breathe. I ran to put her in the carrier and rushed to the 24/7 animal ER. They told me if I wasn’t home she could’ve died at home. I am so thankful she is still with us. She is still struggling to breathe and has been in an oxygen box for the last few days. She is currently at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates in Norristown, PA.
I slowly acclimated her to my home with her now sister Kiko (a chonky tabby). It took a few months of me making her feel safe and welcomed in my home. Her sister was very curious of her and wanted to meet her quickly but I wanted to be extra cautious. They always sleep next to each other every night and during midday naps. Everytime I prepare wet food they come out walking to the kitchen together.
I’m asking for donations because with each night she stays and tests they need to run, the bill is going up very quickly. Originally I was told on the high end it would be $3500 and now I’m being told it’ll be a high $7200. I am struggling to pay bills while this all happen.
