Circe is a 3-year-old domestic short hair in Green Bay, WI, who needs $2,000 for surgery.

I got Circe from a farm about three years ago. At the time I was told he was a girl and followed by naming him after an Egyptian goddess—few weeks later and Circe is a boy, lol. He has always known his name and even at only a month in my family there was no changing it so he stayed named Circe. He has a two brothers a kitty named Bukie and a Guinea pig named Pig. Pig included, they play and cuddle.

Circe lives a spoiled life lol he has cat beds in every room of the house and more toys to know what to do with. His favorite sleeping spot is in the the bed under my desk. I spend days working on school and he curls up in the bed to spend the day with me—alternating between the bed and my lap. His favorite toy is a rainbow fur, crunchy, catnip toy which he carries with him and snuggles.

This was an unexpected and sudden expense. Circe had no medical or health issues previously. And by all other accounts he is happy and healthy but this blockage persistence is threatening his life. My savings wasn’t that large and it been gone through by the first two procedures.

Circe has had no previous medical issues. I came home from work & he was in extreme pain, scared & confused. I rushed him to the animal ER. He has now had two procedures to clear his urinary blockages. He is at high risk of continuing to get them. The options given to me are to get him the perineal urethrostomy surgery & a life long prescription diet or euthanasia—which I don’t want to do.

Circe is the best kind of cat. He’s affectionate and odd. He cuddles in the crook of my arm at night and will nose me awake to make room for him in the middle of the night. Any time I’m at the stove he is by my feet standing on his back paws with his front on my leg asking what I’m making. And if I leave for the night my warm welcome home is something that has to be earned through pets & apologies.
