About this campaign

Clarice is a sweet seven-year-old domestic shorthair cat from New York who is bravely fighting large-cell gastrointestinal lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer. With treatment, Clarice has a real chance to keep enjoying the life she loves—but she needs help to continue her chemotherapy.

Clarice’s veterinarian recommended the CHOP chemotherapy protocol, a 25-week treatment plan consisting of 16 treatments designed to fight this fast-growing cancer. She has already completed her first three treatments, and the good news is that she’s responding well and already showing signs of feeling better.

Each chemotherapy session costs $250–$1,500, and the total cost of treatment adds up quickly. Thanks to the generosity of Paws 4 A Cure, Clarice has received a $400 grant, but her mom is still working to raise $3,500 to help cover the remaining cost of care so Clarice can complete her treatment.

Clarice’s journey began when her mom noticed distressed meows and found blood clots near the litter box. After rushing her to the veterinarian, they discovered a clementine-sized tumor in her abdomen, which was later diagnosed as large-cell lymphoma—a fast-growing cancer that requires prompt treatment.

Despite the frightening diagnosis, Clarice has already shown incredible resilience. After just a few chemotherapy treatments, she’s starting to feel more like herself again—waking her mom up in the mornings and running to greet her at the door, just like she always used to.

Clarice wasn’t always this confident. Her mom raised her from a shy kitten who hid for days into the vocal, larger-than-life companion she is today. Over the years, Clarice has become more than just a pet—she’s her mom’s best friend, heart, and constant source of comfort.

Thanks to support from her community and pet organizations, nearly $8,000 of Clarice’s treatment costs have already been covered. Now her mom is asking for help raising $3,500 to make sure Clarice can complete the rest of her chemotherapy and continue fighting this disease.

Your tax-deductible donation will go directly toward Clarice’s veterinary care, helping give her the chance for more happy mornings, warm cuddles, and the loving home she deserves. Every contribution—no matter the size—brings Clarice closer to finishing the treatment that could save her life. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Clarice’s story can make a powerful difference and help her reach the people who can help.

Thank you for being part of Clarice’s journey and for helping give this sweet girl the chance for more time with the person who loves her most.

5/18/26 Update

We are so thankful to share an encouraging update on Clarice’s journey. Thanks to the incredible support of this community, Clarice has been able to continue the CHOP chemotherapy protocol recommended to treat her large-cell gastrointestinal lymphoma. What once felt like an overwhelming and heartbreaking diagnosis has now been met with hope, love, and the chance for more time together.

Even after everything she has endured, Clarice continues to show remarkable strength and resilience. Since beginning treatment, she has already started feeling more like herself again—greeting her mom at the door, waking her up in the mornings, and filling their home with the vocal, loving personality that makes her so special.

Your donations, shares, and support helped ease the enormous financial burden of cancer treatment and allowed Clarice’s mom to focus on what mattered most: helping Clarice heal and cherish each day together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside Clarice during this fight. Your kindness gave this sweet girl the opportunity to keep receiving lifesaving care, and your compassion reminded her family they were never alone in this journey.
