Claude is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Missoula, MT, who needs $1,000 for X-rays, Possible Blockage/Stomach Issue.

We adopted Claude in December 2023 when he was about 5 months old from the Humane Society of Western Montana. He was brought to the Humane Society as a stray. He was a bit shy when we brought him home, but he quickly warmed up to us when we brought out a bag of treats to share with him. We have developed a close bond with him , and he has brought so much joy and affection into our lives.

During the past week, Claude has been vomiting and crying out in pain, especially after he eats. I took him into Pruyn Veterinary Hospital, and he was given an exam, bloodwork, nausea medication, and prescription food. X-rays were offered to determine if there was a blockage, but I had to refuse them due to financial constraints. The nausea meds helped temporarily, but crying out in pain is worse.

Claude is an affectionate, playful cat. He loves to lay in our laps while receiving pets and purring loudly. He enjoys interactive wand toys and loves treats. He also enjoys playing with his kitty friends who also live with us, Luna and Jackson. He enjoys scratchers and laying in soft blankets. He enjoys lounging in cardboard boxes with blankets or laying on freshly washed laundry in the cart.

I am currently a single mother with a visual impairment on Social Security Disability. When I adopted Claude and my other 2 cats, I had a part-time job, but I am in between jobs and attending school. My heart aches each time he cries out in pain and I cannot help him.
