About this campaign

When Cleo and Tivali were first found, we were told they were friendly four-month-old kittens. One, a tiny gray kitten with a cloudy eye and injuries to her face, urgently needed medical care, so A Patheay to Hope stepped in.

We agreed to help, but when Cleo was trapped, we discovered she wasn't a kitten at all. Cleo is a tiny senior little lady, who has likely been struggling to survive on the streets for years.

Cleo had suffered severe facial trauma, leaving her with almost no teeth, a swollen face, a permanently damaged eye that may still require removal, and multiple medical conditions requiring ongoing treatment and follow-up care. She is sweet and docile despite her pain.

Meanwhile, Cleo’s companion, Tivali, proved much harder to rescue. We refused to give up, and he is finally safe as well, but in need of significant medical care before we can even consider adoption.

What we expected to be a straightforward kitten rescue quickly became far more complicated (and far more expensive) than anyone imagined.

But this is the reality of rescue.

Animals don't always arrive as expected. They don't fit neatly into budgets or plans. They simply need help and we are here to step in.

If you're able, please consider making a donation today to help cover Cleo's ongoing medical treatment and Tivali's veterinary care. Every gift helps us give animals like Cleo and Tivali the second chance they deserve.

Thank you for helping us give Cleo and Tivali HOPE for better days ahead.
