My dog was given to me by a family friend. He has been in my life since he was 9 weeks old. He has always been considered a vital companion dog who assists me with agoraphobia and PTSD. He hasn't had a life of luxury but he has always been loved and cared for. Currently he is in the end stages of life at the age of 18. He can no longer eat because he has issues with his teeth and gums.

He sleeps in my bed all day, every day. He no longer wants to go out except to pee or poo. I was diagnosed with leukemia recently and reach my physical limit every day caring for Clinton. He is the most loving and amazing dog. He deserves so much more than I can give him. He is my lifeline and always has been. I love him so much and cannot bear to see him suffer because of my failings.

I contracted COVID-19 in July whilst working on the presidential campaign. I ended up in a hospital in another state whilst working and the medical expenses and hotels post hospital have devastated my finances. I have no credit left to pay for the care he desperately needs.

Clinton has developed problems with his teeth and gums. I am trying to raise money to take him to the San Francisco SPCA so that his infected teeth can be removed. They are currently so painful to him that he eats so little I am afraid he will starve to death. I cook for him and hand feed him his soft favorites, but he is in constant pain. I am currently ill myself and simply don't have resources.

Clinton has always been a wonderful, inquisitive and loving dog. His special joy were the years when he could go to the Bark Park and socialize. He loves other dogs and people who treat him like the unique and expressive dog he has always been. As sick as he is now he still finds the energy somehow to play with his squeaky toys for a few minutes every day. He is very expressive and loving.
