About this campaign

For the past 14 years, Cloud has been more than a pet—he has been a constant source of comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.

Adopted from St. Sophia's Forgotten Felines in 2012, this handsome Maine Coon has stood faithfully by his mom's side through years of disability and difficult times. As her emotional support companion and best friend, Cloud has always been there when she needed him most. Now, Cloud needs her—and all of us.

In April 2026, Cloud suddenly became critically ill and was diagnosed with bilateral ureteral obstruction, a life-threatening condition that was causing his kidneys to fail. Without immediate intervention, he would not have survived.

To save his life, veterinarians performed an emergency Subcutaneous Ureteral Bypass (SUB) surgery. Thanks to this lifesaving procedure, Cloud was given a second chance. But his journey is far from over.

Since surgery, Cloud has faced several painful complications, including chronic recurring cystitis, seroma formation, and anemia. He continues to experience discomfort and requires ongoing pain management, diagnostic testing, bloodwork, urine cultures, medications, and close veterinary monitoring to help maintain his quality of life.

Cloud's mom is doing everything she can to provide the care he needs, but as someone living on a fixed Social Security income due to disability, the cost of his continued treatment has become overwhelming. Despite these financial challenges, giving up has never been an option.

Cloud is family. He is a beloved companion who has provided comfort, stability, and unconditional love through life's hardest moments. Now, his mom is asking for help to ensure he can continue receiving the care he needs to stay comfortable and keep fighting.

The goal is to raise $2,000 to help cover Cloud's ongoing veterinary expenses, including follow-up examinations, bloodwork, urinalysis and urine cultures, medications, treatment for post-surgical complications, pain management, and future monitoring related to his SUB surgery.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support Cloud's care. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps ease the financial burden and brings Cloud one step closer to healing.

If you're unable to donate, sharing Cloud's story can make a tremendous difference.

6/23/26 Update

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news about Cloud. After months of uncertainty, recovery, follow-up appointments, testing, and treatment, Cloud is doing well and no further treatment is needed at this time. His veterinary team is pleased with his progress, and he is finally able to put this difficult chapter behind him.

When Cloud became critically ill with bilateral ureteral obstruction, his future was uncertain. The emergency SUB surgery that saved his life was just the beginning of a long recovery that included complications, ongoing monitoring, and many anxious moments. Through it all, Cloud's loving mom remained by his side, determined to give her best friend every chance possible.

Today, Cloud is back where he belongs—at home, surrounded by love and enjoying the comfort and companionship he has shared with his family for the past 14 years.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared his campaign, sent kind words, and helped support Cloud during his recovery. Your generosity helped ease a tremendous financial burden and ensured that he received the care he needed every step of the way.

Because of your support, Cloud was able to receive lifesaving treatment and the follow-up care necessary to reach this milestone. We could not have done it without you.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Cloud's journey and helping this beloved Maine Coon continue enjoying the life he shares with the person who loves him so much.

Here's to many more happy days ahead, Cloud.
