Coco Crisp is a 10-year-old Yorkie in Fairfield, CA, who needs $2,000 for CT SCAN.

Coco Crisp came in our lives as Ginnie, she looked like a Guinea Pig! She was 9 mos when we feel in love. We purchased her from a lady who worked a lot & couldn't give her the attention she needed. We were looking for a friend for the 2 dogs we already had in our home, Stella a Carin (a rescue) & Skittles a poodle mix ( a rescue). She is now Coco & the rest is history & joy!

Coco is the leader in the house ,even though she is the youngest. She loves to chase the birds who land on our fence that she will never catch! She helps retrieve Stella who is now hard of hearing. Her gentle nudges given to Stella are touching. She is always excited to see family, but is shy around strangers, watch out when she warms up to you! She loves toys & will bring them to you to play.

She loves the rain. You don't have to coax her to go potty in the rain, you have to beg her to come in! She is scared of the fly swatter, even though we have never hit her with it. Maybe she has compassion for the flies! She is gentle & loving. My fondest memory is the time I was in my bed groaning in pain, she jumped in bed with me & licked my face & curled up next to me, as if to say I got you.

On 4/22 Coco started sneezing uncontrollably, blood was coming from her nose with every sneeze. My Vet, Fairfield Animal Hosp, closed . We took her to emergency at UC Davis teaching hosp. A handheld scope was put up her nose, but no foxtail or obstruction was revealed, just a lot of blood & mucus. An antibiotic was given to see if it would help, it has not. A rhinoscopy and Ct scan is needed.

We are retired on a fixed income. We were told the procedure would be 3500-4000 at UC Davis. We will do our best to help her, she has been a part of our family for 10 years. We love her. Please help us help our Coco, it would be greatly appreciated. She is our sweet girl.
