About this campaign

Coco has been a part of our family for 10 years. We received Coco as a gift from a relative whose cat had kittens. We’ve watched her grow into a sweet and silly kitty. Now that Coco is 10, she enjoys relaxing and still occasionally plays when she gets a burst of energy.

Coco is very affectionate, whenever we sit or lay down she finds a way to cuddle up in our laps and gently asks to be petted. We all have to set aside time in our day to cuddle up with Coco, when we do she purrs nonstop.

Coco is special because she’s a very smart and sweet kitty. I’ve raised her from a kitten and I’ve had her since I was in high school. We’ve learned and grown a lot together.

Coco has had gastrointestinal issues for the past year, her vet believes she has inflammatory bowel disease. Unfortunately last Thursday we had to take her to the emergency vet because she was not eating & kept trying to throw up but nothing came up. After rigorous testing, we found out that she has a blockage in her small intestine and it’s affecting her pancreas. She needs emergency surgery.

This illness is very sudden and she needs her surgery today to prevent any further damage to her internal organs. We have already spent over $3,000 on testing alone. The surgery is estimated to cost around $4,500 and unfortunately we cannot afford it on such short notice
