About this campaign
Coco and Einstein came to us as foster kittens from a local farm. They adopted us right away and melted our hearts. We've been together for about 3 years. We were ready for new fur babies after our cat of 17 years died and the timing just worked out. Coming from a farm we battled fleas, bot flies and ring worm. It wasn't a pretty sight! I never met a cat that liked baths!
Coco is my son, Will's, cat. Will chose him because she was all black and skinny. It was important that Will have accountability to another living thing as Will was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and needed the distraction and unconditional love that Coco was giving. She is best friends to her brother, Einstein. He'd be lost without her.
Coco is a cuddler. She likes to be up around the neck and chirps as she coils in. She's dainty and graceful where her brother is not. She if she's not sitting on your chest, she sits in the crook of your knee. She likes to be close. She loves to chase play mice, climb in the Christmas tree and lay in front of the fire place.
Coco started to pee outside the litter box so we took her in to the Pet Health Center of Solon. She was diagnosed with bladder stones. Despite changing her diet to expensive prescription cat food, it appears that surgery will be the only way to fully address the urinating outside the box problem. She has unintentionally ruined quite a bit of furniture so far.
I am a divorced, single mother of two boys. I'm a social worker and am working two jobs to make ends meat. My youngest is a type 1 diabetic. Between his insulin needs, there never ending appetite and the covid pandemic limiting my ability to see clients, I can't pay for this.
