Cocoa is a 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier in Ansonia, CT, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Repair Fractured Leg.

I bought Cocoa for my 3 girls from a breeder. When I originally went to purchase my puppy I only wanted a boy. I had no intentions of purchasing a female. Cocoa just really caught my eye! she was so feisty and full of energy. I Currently live with family. There is another yorkie in the house ( her brother). My oldest daughter named Cocoa. she said cocoa remind her of Chocolate.

Cocoa sleeps in a bed we bought for her. She gets along with everyone! She is just the sweetest. she is also very mischievous. she loves to explore and play in the backyard. She loves her daily walks and she loves company. Cocoa is treat motivated and learns very quickly. Her favorite thing to do is rest on your lap.

Cocoa loves playing with her brother Cosmo. They are two peas in a pod. She loves to play and run around. she really loves being around the kids. They are always in the yard playing with her and teacher her different things. But, when it's time to settle down, she loves to lay next to you or on your lap. Cocoa loves someones presence and doesn't like to be alone. She is just so smart it amazes me

Cocoa went to follow me downstairs. While coming down he brother ran down really fast and bumped into her cause her to miss a step and she went tumbling down. I though she was fine when she stood up but I then saw her limping. I brought her to the Ansonia Seymour Veterinary hospital where the did her X-rays. Which indicated that she has a Femoral Displaced Fracture right above her knee joint.

I've been unemployed since covid. I don't have an emergency savings at all. My family has been helping me with my girls but none has $8000 for orthopedic surgery for Cocoa. It would mean the world to my children and I if Cocoa could get this surgery.
