Cody, our 3-year-old Imperial Shih Tzu, is the little man of our household filled with four daughters. He came into our lives as a gift, bringing endless joy and energy to our daily routines. Despite his small size, Cody has a big personality—he’s our “little squirt,” always finding ways to entertain us with his playful antics and mischievous charm.

Cody, was tragically hit by an Amazon driver who was speeding down our residential street. The driver, a contracted worker using their own vehicle, kept going and refused to stop. In our panic, we rushed Cody to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital, but due to financial limitations, we could only afford pain medication to help him through the night.

Cody is the heart of our family, bringing joy and laughter every day. He loves squeaky toys, chasing shadows, and snuggling with my four daughters, who adore him. A little “talker,” he uses cute noises and expressions to communicate his needs. His playful energy and love for belly rubs make him incredibly special.

We’ve seen small signs of improvement, but further treatment is essential to fully understand and address his injuries. We want nothing more than to get him the medical care he needs as soon as possible to ensure he recovers and returns to being our spirited little man!
