CODY is a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier in Dothan, AL, who needs $2,600 for Bi-Lateral Medial Patella Luxation .

I rescued a Yorkshire Terrier (CODY) from a Puppy Mill, four yrs ago.He spent the first 1 1/2 yrs of his life in a tiny cage with no love or grooming & barely enough to eat.CODY is the sweetest little dog I ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with! CODY was 1st overwhelmed by all the love, play, treats & freedom he now has.Our rescued Chi/MinPin, Bella,lost no time in teaching him the ropes,

CODY is so happy to be with us.He & Bella love to run off steam in our nice fenced in back yard.(always supervised, of course) They also love to wrestle & chase each other through the house. CODY is my heart & I am his world. He spends 80% of his life in my lap. When we go to bed, he snuggles in as close to me as he can get. He likes to sleep under the covers, too.

My husband, a vet, & I are both on fixed incomes. I've fought cancer three different times & my husband has acute Crohn's Disease. Fighting our health issues have left us with nothing to fall back on. CODY is my "baby". I pray I'll see him run & play again! PLEASE HELP CODY

CODY is in constant pain.He's diagnosed with Medial Patella Luxation. His KneeCaps are dislocated&can't go back in without surgery. His Orthopedic Surgeon isD r. Martin at Southern Regional Veterinary Specialists. The surgeries on both his hind legs will correct the problem.It is heartbreaking to watch CODY try to walk andeven more difficult for him to urinate, pivoting from one leg to the other.

CODY is such a funny little dog.When he gets real excited, like for treats or meals, he begins to spin very quickly, in circles, never looking where he is going. I try to keep a cleared path from where his meals are prepared & where they are served, He has been known to crash into things. Bella is a barker & demands what she wants. CODY uses his sweet charm to get his point across.
