About this campaign
Cody came into my life 13 years ago when a coworker was at her wits end caring for two small children, along with Cody. She couldn't devote the time he needed so she asked if I'd give him a good home- and OF COURSE I said YES! Cody has been my constant companion and has the most loving and adventurous little spirit!
Cody has two fur siblings, both kitties- Boggs and Maddie. Maddie is our newest addition and absolutely adores him and snuggles up with him in his bed any chance she can get. Cody loves to travel with us to ski resorts, camping and hiking- he loves anything outdoors and has been to many different states from Florida to Texas, Tennessee, New Hampshire and Colorado!
We recently lost our 6 year old cat to heart disease and spent over $4000 for her treatment. We've spent approx $2700 for Cody's treatment so far and he needs $8000 more in treatment costs.
Cody was diagnosed with oral melanoma and is under the care of Oncologist Kim Cronin at Mass Vet Referral Hospital and Dr. Kubicek at Angell Memorial Med Center in Boston. Approx total care cost- $8000 for radiation and immunotherapy. He's already had surgery to remove the tumor but if we stop now he has approx 2-3 months left. With treatment, he can have 1-3 years left.
Cody is probably the cuddliest animal I've ever met. He loves to snuggle. He's very "catlike", doesn't yap and prefers all things soft and comfy. If you give him a soft blanket, you've made a best friend for life with him. He is constantly looking for affection and will spend hours on your lap for a good pet session.
