Cody is a 8-year-old Yorkie in Suffolk , VA, who needs $1,700 for Perineal hernia.

Cody was adopted by me in 2015 by an owner who could no longer care for him. He was in a cagecovered by blankets and his fur was matted down to his paw pada. I knew immediately he needed a loving home, his shots were out of date and our journey of him gaining my trust that I would take care of him was a long but loving one. He currently is loved by me and everyone he encounters.

My pup is spoiled rotten, who would have imagined that this little guy would have developed into the adult yorkie he is today, he still has some trust issues with strangers, not aggressive but doesnt welcome pets from many except my family. He loves snacks and my father definitely keeps snacks for him when we visit!!

I just cannot imagine my days without Cody he has brought so much happiness to me and ny family...I need him back to his normal self and without pain or possibly rupturing his hernia. This surgery is needed as a hernia cannot self repair.

Cody had been straining to poop for about a week...when I took gim to the groomers he had a mass that I was uable to see because his fur was grown out for the colder months, I took him to the vet to find out he had a perineal hernia.. the cost to repair quoted was 7k which is a substantial expense for me. Just the consult is 1200.00. He is in need of this surgery before it causes further damage.

Lol Cody smiles and does tricks for snack without being told he us truly speacial to me and my family and since I have no children he definitely fills the void! When Im down or not feeling well he sticks to my side. His smiles are priceless and I know that he appreciates being rescued by me. He is the best and I lucked out with him, I couldnt see myself owning another pup.
