Colby is a 7 year old Dachshund in Smyrna, TN, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy- 7 treatments Total.

Colby is 7 years old and he came to live with us with his brother. At that time I had just lost my 12 year old doxie girl to complications of diabetes, about 4 months before getting them. Colby and his brother Jack which yes are named after the cheese saved me from my devastating loss. They gave me a reason to smile and laugh and play again. We lovingly call them "The boys" because they are family

One night about two weeks ago, I was holding Colby and his right front paw was swollen. We took him to the Vet and they sent off a sample to be tested. It came back as a Mast Cell Tumor. We are still so shocked that he has Cancer that it does not feel real. We were refereed to Nashville Vet Specialists. We took him for an evaluation and was told he need chemo. This will be around 3500.00.

Colby is such a joy and blessing to our family. He looks at you like he has so much to say. At times I swear he is smiling. He is so loving and affectionate and really so sweet. I cannot imagine 😢 how awful it will be without him. The treatment is so expensive and I don't want money to be the reason we could not help him.

I work full time and have obligations that 3500.00 plus an additional surgery of between 4000 and 8000 might as well be a million. I really have no shame and will beg if necessary. He is like a close family member. I have never asked for help before but I am desperate.
