About this campaign

Collin came to my family during a camping trip at Collin's Lake on 10/30/2020, he was a very skinny and freezing cold, my husband and sons were out cat-fishing and found a real kitten! We couldn't leave him there, so we brought him home. We decided to name him Collin since we found him at Collins Lake.

Collin was seen by the emergency on 11/7/2020 where he was estimated to be about 6 weeks old. I took him to the emergency Vet because his breathing was labored and I was concerned, since then he has been in an incubator with oxygen and antibiotics. Collin is doing very well in the incubator! He is eating and gaining weight slowly,

I will do what I can but he needs surgery to save his life and the cost is just way beyond what I can afford. I'm hoping and praying to get help. I cannot let him suffer I also don't want to let him go.

Collin is around 7 weeks old now and only 1lbs 3oz, he has to undergo a very intensive surgery once he is 2lbs. Collin’s lungs are healthy, BUT they are being very crammed. Collin has a diaphragmatic hernia and intestines in his chest causing his intestines to push up against his lungs making him dependent on concentrated oxygen.

Collins best buddy is my 12 year old son, Noah. Noah and Collin slept together since the first night he was found. Since Collin had to be put on oxygen he's made friends with Mr. Piggy, he sleeps on it in the tank. Collin loves chin rubs, he purrs so loud when given any physical attention. We are limited to how many times we can open his incubator door but we all take every opportunity to snuggle.
