About this campaign
We bought Connor as a puppy 8,5 years ago from a small breeder in Florida. He moved with us to New Jersey and has been a deeply loved part of our family ever since. We named him after John Connor from Terminator 2 — a film my ex husband and I both loved. He’s sweet but strong-willed, and definitely lives up to the name! He is a kind dog , he loves people and extremely anxious to stay alone.
Connor was diagnosed with leptospirosis after showing signs of vomiting and extreme fatigue. He was treated at Eclipse Hospital in Whippany, where tests showed kidney failure and dangerously high creatinine. He urgently needed dialysis, and two rounds were done. He is improving now, but recovery will be long and expensive.
Connor means the world to me. He adores rubber duckies and loves stealing my daughter’s dolls to cuddle with. Thunder terrifies him, and during storms, I don’t sleep—I stay by his side to comfort him. He’s more than a dog; he’s my beloved son. My heart breaks seeing him scared and unwell, and I want to do everything to help him heal.
I’m divorced and work for myself, with no steady income. I’ve already spent nearly $30,000 trying to save Connor. He’s not just a dog — he’s my whole world and my greatest joy. Without help, I fear losing him and falling apart myself. Supporting his recovery means everything
