Consuela was adopted on 6/16. My sweet Hannah, best friend for 15.5 years, had crossed the rainbow bridge on 2/26. I knew I wanted another dog eventually but did not know when I would be ready. One of the nicknames I had for Hannah, was Consuela. When we saw the post for Consuela up for adoption I knew it was a sign. We met her and fell in love. She is perfect and the sweetest girl. Consuela and I were playing fetch Thursday night. She went to jump for the toy and somehow slipped when she landed, landing on her back/left leg, immediately crying and unable to bear any weight on it. She was rushed to tufts and got diagnosed with Left tibial tuberosity avulsion. She needs surgery to correct this.

Consuela was sent by Hannah. She is an angel on Earth. Truely the sweetest girl. She loves to be outside and go on adventures. She loves everyone and everything. She hops like a little bunny when she’s chasing a toy, gets the craziest zoomies, and is the biggest cuddler. She is so smart too. She loves the outdoors and going for rides. She is an active dog and is not enjoying the bed rest 😭

The surgery is quoted at 5-6k. I am applying for grants and doing everything I can. I am extremely grateful for any donations. This money goes from here right to the vet clinic where the surgery is being taken place, Tufts to get this little girl fully healed. Thank you 🙏
