We rescued Cookie after she was abandoned by her original owner at a friend's farm. She was being attacked by 3 farm dogs, so was trying to be re-homed only to be returned. Her next stop was the dog pound. We just lost our beloved Duncan of 16 years. We were not looking for another pet so soon, but we wanted to save this beautiful girl.

Cookie is a loving companion to everyone in the family. She sleeps with her pet humans and snuggles with her little sister, and at times takes her share out of the middle of the bed.
At 41 lbs, she still thinks she's a lap puppy while bathing you in kisses. She has so much love to give and receive.

Cookie loves to play chase with her little sister, going around and around through the kitchen and living room. She makes her rounds for rubs and lovins' especially her rubs from Pops, while stretching her head up so he can get to her chin and neck.
She sits poised outside on the porch while keeping watch over the yard, making sure those birds don't get to that bird bath and deer from the garden

When we received Cookie, she had goopy eyes, and runny nose, the left being the worst. She barely has them open. Her doctor at the Animal Center said the skin around her eyes is rolling in, poking and scratcing her eyes and is painful. She already has an ulcer in the left and requires surgery.

My husband and I are receive disability. Due to our disabilities neither of us can work for additional wage. We live payday to payday with every penny budgeted to make our bills.
