Cookie is a 5 year old Golden Retriever in Orlando, FL, who needs $2,000 for Multiple Overnight Emergency Lev IV Treatments.

We adopted Cookie as a puppy in Baku, Azerbaijan in December of 2020. I am American and I was living over there where I met my wife. Since I work remotely, Cookie has been by my side almost 24/7. We are very attached to her and take her with us on almost all of our trips...and even when we go out for dinner. She is much more than a pet to us.

We currently live in Orlando, Florida. We went to Haulover Beach in Miami over the Labor Day weekend with Cookie. She ingested too much salt water and sand during our stay and became very lethargic. We took her to an Emergency Vet Clinic in Miami & she was diagnosed with a blockage of her GI tract & pneumonia. We moved her to a 24/7 clinic in Orlando & treated here...now as an outpatient.

Cookie is all heart. We have showered her with love and she in return has compassion for others...especially children and family. Since she is a retriever, she will sometimes chase birds...when she catches them, she just plays with them though. She is silly and as goofy as her human parents. She is the light of our lives & we have been grief stricken by this & can't imagine life without her.

We unfortunately did not carry pet insurance for Cookie and our current vet bills are over $3k. We don't know if surgery will be needed yet on top of this. We have had many financial drawbacks lately (including a stolen vehicle) & credit is maxed out after the last bill.
