Cooper is a 2 year old Lab mix who we rescued. I often say he rescued us with his playful and loving personality!! He quickly won our hearts and has become family! Anytime a family member hurts, you hurt. This has been so hard watching Cooper sick and not knowing what was wrong. It took a few vet visits but unfortunately a foreign object was found and needed removed.

Cooper loves to run, play and explore! He’s never met a stranger and loves to play with everyone he meets! Sometimes he forgets his size and has been known to knock you over with his tail! He loves going on long walks and running is one of his favorite things to do. He is a snuggler and loves to lay on the couch and snuggle! He forgets he’s too big for my lap.

This is an unexpected, major expense. There is a high likelihood of complications and future expenses. Cooper is young and should make a full recovery and be back to himself very soon.

Cooper became very sick this past month with a loss of appetite and then vomiting for days. Upon going to the vet (Hilltop Animal Hospital) a few times, x-rays were taken, a foreign object was found in his stomach. When they opened him up it was much worse than expected. His stomach was filled with grass attached to an unidentified object.
Surgery was necessary.

I always say, Cooper rescued us! With both my kids becoming adults and busy with college life, Cooper keeps mommy company all the time! He always greets me at the front door, ready for a walk. He is so full of love and can sense when mommy is having a rough day. He’s always ready to give extra snuggles.
