About this campaign

Cooper lives on a small farm in a very poor rural area. His family loves him deeply, but they struggle just to meet daily needs — often earning around $10 a day picking rice in the fields. When Cooper developed a growing tumor on his nose, they were heartbroken. They wanted to help him but simply could not afford veterinary care. Because they had previously worked with Hand to Paw Foundation to spay dogs on their property, they reached out again — hoping someone could help save Cooper’s life.

Veterinarians diagnosed Cooper with Canine Transmissible Venereal Tumor (CTVT) affecting his nose. This type of cancer often responds well to chemotherapy, and in many cases tumors begin shrinking within two weeks, with full recovery in about six weeks. But Cooper’s case has been very different — and far more challenging.

Despite starting treatment right away, Cooper’s cancer was resistant to three different chemotherapy drugs. Instead of shrinking, the tumor continued to grow, making it harder for him to breathe. His condition became increasingly urgent, and time was running out. Still, we refused to give up. The team traveled a long distance to obtain a fourth chemotherapy medication, often considered a last-resort option for resistant CTVT cases. Cooper had already endured multiple treatments, so he also required immune support supplements and careful monitoring to help his body tolerate the intensive therapy. Then, finally — the breakthrough we had been hoping for.

This week, Cooper’s tumor has started to shrink. After weeks of uncertainty, we are finally seeing progress. We believe the cancer may be almost completely gone within the next week or two. Because the tumor affected his mandible, Cooper will likely always have a small facial scar — but that scar will be a reminder of his incredible fight to survive.

The costs have added up quickly, especially for a case that required far more care than typical CTVT treatment. Cooper’s family loves him, but they simply cannot afford this lifesaving care. That’s why we’re asking for your help.

Your donation will help cover:

🐾 Chemotherapy treatments

🐾 Immune support medications

🐾 Ongoing veterinary monitoring

Cooper is a sweet, gentle boy who has never known anything but love from his family — even in poverty. They reached out for help because they wanted to give him a chance, and together, we can make sure he gets it.

After everything he has endured, Cooper is finally winning the fight. Please help us finish what we started and ensure this brave dog can live a healthy, cancer-free life. Every donation — no matter the size — brings Cooper one step closer to full recovery. If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story helps just as much. Let’s help Cooper keep fighting… and win.
