Copper is a male who just turned 3 right before Christmas. He loves to watch the squirrels and chase them up the tree as much as possible. He loves his walks and constantly playing. His favorite game is tug of war! And those squirrels are serious business. .He is such a joy to have in our lives.

Copper is a young healthy spirited guy. Until this past weekend when he bolted out of the door after a squirrel and was struck by a vehicle. He spent the weekend in an ER vet hospital receiving treatment and testing. , VERY EXPENSIVE. His back leg is in need of surgery ASAP.
Outer Banks Vet Hospital is his vet. He needs help to save his leg. Our funds for this are nowhere close to the cost.

Copper is the stereotype Beagle, loves his family and wants to be with us at all times. He's always good for snuggles and cuddling. His human daddy is one of his favorite playthings, daily meeting him at the door ready to play his favorite games. Then when it's time to wind down and relax for the evening he's ready for ets, and rubs and will lay beside me and snuggle the rest of the night.

We are a single income family , scraping by okay, but there's no room for emergencies. This past weekend in the ER ate up every bit of the savings we had worked hard to save. He's in pain is sad because he can't do much of anything.He's hoping to walk the beach this year.
