Terrified and in critical condition, Cori trembled in fear helplessly on The George Washington Bridge!

The structure connects New Jersey and New York City. It's the world's busiest motor vehicle bridge.

A veterinary technician spotted Cori, undertook a brave rescue to save her, and rushed the kitten to the animal hospital.

When Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge heard about Cori's brush with death and daring rescue, they immediately offered to help.
"We suspect this little gal may have been bundled up inside a car engine," Amy H., with the nonprofit group, tells Waggle.

X-rays revealed Cori's front leg is shattered, and she needs urgent surgery and hospitalization.

"Despite her suffering and fear, Cori purrs and is so grateful to be safe and warm," Amy says. "We don't know where Cori came from or how her leg was shattered, but we know she needs us."
