Our 5-year-old Brussels Griffon mix, Cosmo, has been a core part of our lives since we rescued him in Egypt in 2019. When we found him on the street, he seemed to have been abandoned, full of fleas and ticks. Despite his troubled past, he has grown into an inseparable companion to our family, especially to our 1-year-old daughter, providing her with unwavering love and friendship.

Our dog is like our first son. He sleeps in bed with us, or cuddled up next to my one-year-old daughter. He's full of playful energy and loves to meet new people.

As soon he hears his sister (my daughter) wake up in the morning or from a nap, he's the first one on her bed, ready to greet her with slobbery puppy kisses. He's not a puppy but he still gets the zoomies often!

In recent years, Cosmo has had distressing episodes of pain and limping. After many consultations with veterinarians, we finally received a diagnosis of IVDD and a herniated disk. Cosmo now needs urgent medical intervention to alleviate his excruciating pain and ensure his long-term well-being. The recommended course of action includes an MRI and surgery to remove the herniated disk material.

This situation has left us financially strained, especially as we have just recently made a big leap in moving back to the US from Egypt to start a better life for our family, especially our daughter and Cosmo.
