Cougi is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Kemp, TX, who needs $1,600 for Limb Amputation.

I would consider Cougi as a rescue cat. I got him in 2017, he was a feral cat living at my childhood best friends house among the other strays that lived on the property and has been with us since. I live with family right now and while we all are trying to pitch in just like anyone else have bills and other payments we are trying to juggle as well as taking care of the other animals we have.

Cougi unfortunately got caught in an animal trap. His paw was crushed and he has multiple broken toes that cannot be healed properly in a cast. Our vet at Veterinary Medical Center in Athens recommended the best treatment for him would be to amputate the injured leg so he wouldn’t have to live with the chronic pain if he kept his paw.

Cougi is a loving and quiet cat. He is never aggressive, he’s only ever wanted to be loved, petted, and scratched. He will lounge with me in my lap and nap with me or my mom or dad.

Sadly I don’t have an extra $1,600 to pay for this. I was working on an emergency fund but I was trying to get caught up on some of the other payments I have. I had to use credit to get him pain medicine, antibiotics and his surgery. Any help with the bills is a blessing.
