Cowboy is a 7-year-old Mixed Pit/Boxer in Okemah, OK, who needs $750 for Anterior Cruciate Rupture.

We got Cowboy off of an ad on facebook. All the others in his litter was given away but him. He was about 8- 9 weeks when we got him and was very scared and withdrawn so we don't know if he was abused or neglected before we got him. He came around real quick and we noticed he was learning commands real quick and being so calm would be a great fit to be trained as a service dog.

Cowboy is now fully trained as my son's service dog. He has had him for almost 7 years. He loves to lay on his own trampoline or in his own sandbox while the boys play outside. His favorite treats are beef jerky and peanut butter. He is mostly an indoor dog but does go on outings with us including vacations and hotel stays and outside when the boys do.

I have lost my job due to my kids distance learning. My husband has a new job due to Covid which is currently part time. My son just got approved for his disability and has used as much of his funds as possible for his care but he has his own needs and meds that need met.

Cowboy is actually in need of 2 separate surgeries. We are currently just asking for help on the first one and don't have an estimate for second one yet. Cowboy tore his ACL playing with the boys. This is causing him not to bare weight on this leg. So he can't support his weight or my sons for balance. He also has a tumor on the bottom of this same foot that will need to be removed as soon as vet ok

Cowboy is a talker, and he will paw or bring you things. Not only what you need but what he wants as well whether it be a leash for a walk or a bag of treats cause he wants one. We also have 2 other dogs and a cat. Cowboy is so sweet and loving to them he even will share the couch with them. He is polite and lets them eat first. He loves to cuddle with the cat on the rare chances the cat lets him
