About this campaign
Crab came into my life after we lived together and bonded with one another. My room mate, who had rescued Crab, saw our connection and selflessly gave him to me when I moved out. He lives in a house with his rescue sister mixed breed dog, Willy Tutu and their 2 blind kitty brothers, Emmitt and Wheezy. We have a full life and a lot of love. Our family is bright and funny because of Crab.
Crab is a crafty tiny man who will happily eat any food he can get his tiny snaggle tooth sunk into. We go on walks everyday, although he’s carried 90% of the time! He loves to sniff around the yard and bark out the window and generally make his presence known. He is my snuggle baby and loves to sleep wherever I am near, often in the oversized bed meant for his sister, Willy.
Crab makes me laugh every single day. His enthusiasm to be the baddest baby around proves to me every day that my life is better with him in it. His head tilt whenever I ask him a question and his little tongue always sticking out will brighten any moment. He snorfles around like a little anteater everywhere he goes and on the rare occasion he gets the zoomies - his tiny torpedo body is hysterical
Crab is experiencing pesticide toxicity from his flea and tick medicine. He has been having seizures and tremors for days and is slow to show improvement. He is doing is best and being a very good boy with all the medicines and poking and prodding, but the next step is an MRI to rule out any other underlying issues that may be causing his healing to slow.
I have a salaried position working for a non-profit places in the public school system. I love my work, and it also does not pay much, let alone enough for an unexpected $2,500+ vet procedure. I have used my savings and credit card for the vet visits leading up to this one.
