Cricket is a 1-year-old Bulldog in Cameron, TX, who needs $3,715 for FHO.

Cricket was adopted May 5, 2020 from the Central Texas SPCA. We fell in love with her the moment we met her and couldn’t wait to get her home. We have a big 2 bed room with a large laundry room and almost full acre lot. Cricket has full reign of the laundry room and the large yard! Cricket has anything a dog could want, a home, toys, but most of all she loves to run!

We love to go for family walks around our neighborhood daily and play games in the yard. Cricket is so much fun and very energetic! She sits, stays, plays Fetch, some times she will play by herself if I’m working in the yard! She also sleeps a lot! She cuddles as we watch TV and keep me company. I tell people she’s the best thing I never knew I needed! She needed us but I needed her!

Being that we have only had her 3 weeks and I am a school teacher I was unprepared for a $4600 operation! I’ve paid what I had to to keep her comfortable and safe until we can gather funds for her to get back to a normal pain free life!

On May 26th , I mowed the yard and Cricket played and chased me and the mower. As I finished and took her in with me I noticed she was walking up the steps a bit slow but assumed she was just tired. I notice Cricket was dragging her two hind legs. My daughter and I rushed her to the Round Rock Specialty Clinic where she was diagnosed with Bilateral Hip Dysplasia and needed an FHO operation.

Cricket is very attached to me and stays right by my side every second! She follows me any where and everywhere. I can’t imagine what life was life before she was in it and she’s only been with us a few short weeks. She keeps me up at night with her snoring at times but out home feels complete with her in it!
