About this campaign
Crosby was adopted from our local animal shelter in January 2019. He was overwhelmed by the chaos of triplet 2 year olds running around the house the first day, but by the second day it was like it was all he had ever known! He is a beautiful long haired cat, maybe part Maine Coon which would explain his playful demeanor.
Crosby is the strangest cat I've ever met. My husband is a "dog person" and wasn't a fan of getting a cat. But even he agrees, Crosby is more dog than cat! He plays outside with our kids, chasing them and running around with them. He even comes on our nightly summer walks down the street. All the neighbors know him and he has a dog best friend who he goes out to play with.
This is a very unexpected financial need that until last Thursday we had no idea would even be a need. He was a completely healthy cat before Thursday. With triplet 4 year olds at home and the cost of the procedure we've already paid for we are unable to cover the cover this
Crosby started throwing up on a Tuesday. On Thursday he wasn't better and we took him to the vet. He had a urinary blockage and needed an emergency procedure. He stayed over night and then has been back to the vet 3 days in a row to make sure things were headed in the right direction. Today we got the news that he is blocked again and needs emergency surgery to save him.
Crosby is the least cat like cat you'll ever meet. He puts up with triplet 4 year olds. He loves his best friend, Addy the golden retriever down the street. He goes to Addy's back door and cries until her owner let's her out to play. He is a sweetest, most gentle cat and he constantly makes us laugh.
