About this campaign

We've had our sweet Crosby for 9 years, since he was a puppy. He's named after David Crosby "doodle-doodle-doo." If you know, you know. He's a big goldendoodle (almost 90lbs), but he's completely and adorably unaware of his size. He acts like a lap dogs and likes to jump up for hugs :)

Crosby lives at home with his Mom (my wife) and Dad (me) his human brothers (11 and 4) and doggy best-friend/brother, Bert Macklin (11 year-old pooton). While Bert sleeps with my wife and I, Crosby likes to be on our bed for snuggles and then sleep on his dog bed or the cold floor when he gets too hot.

Crosby is a lover. He enthusiastically greets all who walk through our door and is playful and cuddly with other animals too. He loves to go on long walks and runs. He loves to sit on the couch and look out the window. He's happy-go lucky and he's never lost his puppy energy (including his bad habits like chewing shoes and eating socks).

In late July, we took Crosby to the emergency vet after he had a seizure. The next morning, he had another. After starting on phenobarbital, he had 7-8 weeks of no issues. Then, suddenly he started tipping over, losing control of his limbs, and seemed disoriented. We took him to the U of Missouri Vet Clinic. An MRI there revealed that he has meningioma - a brain tumor.

After a few trips to the emergency vet clinic, and getting the MRI, we spent $6,000 to get Crosby's diagnosis. It will take $10,000 to get Crosby the radiation therapy he needs. If he's able to get the care he needs, we can save his life and not have to say goodbye early.
