Just one look into Crystal's eyes and your heart will melt! Crystal is a six month old female Chihuahua who came to our shelter with two fractured front legs. Crystal's owner was not able to cover the astronomical vet costs that will be associated with her care. So Crystal was surrendered to our shelter.

Since Crystal met us, she stole all of our hearts! She is a sweet, lovable girl who had the misfortune of suffering two severe fractures. She was first treated with a closed reduction and casting of her first fracture by the original owner. Then she suffered a second fracture of the other front leg. She was taken to our vet who recommended an internal fixation of both fractures.

We are a small, non-profit shelter with limited resources. Crystal's veterinary care will cost over $3500. It is not a cost we can absorb on our own, but we know that Crystal deserves to have the care she needs. We hope we can raise funds through our caring supporters.

Ebensburg Animal Hospital in Ebensburg Pa is the vet hospital where Crystal is receiving her treatments. Dr Joel Takacs is her surgeon. We have a very close working relationship with Ebensburg Animal Hospital and they do their best to make the care they offer as affordable as possible for us. They offer great care for our shelter pets.

Crystal had two surgeries so far and is the perfect little patient! Her follow up vet appointment revealed the need for a third surgery, but Crystal is a fighter according to her foster mom!
