Tiny Cypress Was Almost Out of Time But Now She Has a Chance

Cypress was just 10 weeks old when her time nearly ran out. She had been placed on the euthanasia list at a crowded shelter, not because she was sick, but because of severe nerve damage to one of her front leg. But even through her pain, she radiated sweetness and strength. Spicy Whiskers Rescue couldn’t walk away, they knew this little fighter deserved more than a death sentence.

Despite the pain she’s in, Cypress is full of light. She’s curious, affectionate, and playful. She is determined to be part of the world around her. Her damaged leg can’t be saved, but her life can. Once she’s gained enough strength and weight, she’ll need an amputation to remove the limb and relieve her pain. It’s a big surgery for such a small body, but we know she’s going to thrive as a tripod.

The cost of her surgery, along with the care she’ll need before and after, is estimated at $2,000. That includes pain management, post-op recovery, and monitoring to ensure she heals safely. It’s a significant expense for Spicy Whiskers Rescue, but they believe Cypress is more than worth it. This is their chance to give her the comfort, safety, and love she’s never known before.
