About this campaign
Currently my dog and I are staying with my parents because I need a couple of surgeries. During my waiting period we found out he has lymphoma. I started treatment as soon as I could. Treatments started to look promising. Then, they didn't. We are trying the next level of chemo. It is expensive. I'm a disabled veteran who lives off disability. Without my parents help so far, he wouldn't be here
My dog has a beautiful nice soft bed. While at my parents house he likes to sleep in their room becaus3 it has the clos3st access to the doors. So, he can protect us. He loves spending time with my elderly dad, I think he is watching over him. I take him for daily walks if he feels up to it. That has changed lately due to his condition.
Every morning I'm woken up to my boy smiling in my face. I smile every time I see that. He does the same to my parents and it makes them laugh. When we come home, give treats, play or if he's just happy, my boy is smiling. People who don't know that he does this thinks at first he's growling....I assure everyone, it's the opposite.
This is the only medical condition he's had in his life. That's why it came as a shock. He's always been very healthy, active and great fur. He's always has his shots because we are bi-coastal so we fly often. There are 3 hospitals that treat my dog. Redwood pet clinic, SF animal medical center and pet emergency and specialty.
I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and needed surgery to remove that and now am getting my collarbone surgery. I'm a disabled veteran and that's my income. My parents have helped me as much as they can, however they are retired and have others to worry about.
