About this campaign
Daffodil was just days old when she arrived at Purrfectly Wonky Animal Rescue, injured and barely holding on. In a heartbreaking turn, her wounds weren’t from an accident, they were caused by her own mother. Deep puncture wounds marked her tiny sides, already swollen with infection. Though her eyes were still closed, her quiet presence spoke of a newborn in pain, but also one with a chance.
Caring for a puppy this young is delicate under any circumstance, but Daffodil’s condition made everything more urgent. She was placed gently into the rescue’s incubator—lovingly known as the Bean Bakery—where she could stay warm, monitored, and surrounded by care. She’s receiving broad-spectrum antibiotics, pain medication, and daily wound cleanings to fight off infection and keep her comfortable.
Because she’s still learning how to eat from a bottle, Daffodil is being tube-fed by hand, around the clock. It’s slow, careful work, but she’s showing signs that she wants to keep going, curling up tighter in her blankets and doing her best to hold on. Each hour she makes it through is a victory, and her tiny strength gives everyone reason to believe.
There’s a long road ahead, but Daffodil isn’t in this alone. With your support, we can continue giving her everything she needs to heal and grow. She may be small, but she’s already inspired so much love. We believe in her and we hope you do too.
