About this campaign
Daisy came into our family 2 years ago from a kill shelter in Alabama. When she joined our family she was very sick, infested with multiple different parasites and kennel cough. It took a lot of TLC, patience, and prayer to get our sweet Daisy to a place where she felt physically well and secure. She has been the most beautiful addition to our family!
Daisy has extreme anxiety (given her history of abuse and abandonment prior to entering the kill shelter, that’s no surprise.)
Daisy recently ingested a foreign object that she has been unable to pass. The object is trapped in her stomach and because it has been there for 3 days, has caused ulcerations in her stomach as well as her esophagus from all of the vomiting she has had these last 3 days.
Daisy requires emergency surgery to remove the foreign object and it is an expense that my children and I are struggling to pay. Daisy is so precious and soulful and needs immediate help.
The timing of this incident could not be worse as I (a single mom of 2) am scheduled to have a spinal fusion (11 vertebrae) in just 3 weeks and the money my children and I have been saving to sustain us while I am out of work is going to have to go toward Daisy’s surgery.
