About this campaign
Daisy belonged to my next door neighbors. They had no time for her. She was tied in the yard to a salon chair base 24/7 with no food or water in the hot Florida sun. At night she cried. She ran away any chance she got. She got picked up & sent to a shelter. When it was clear her owners were abandoning her there, I went & adopted her. I’m her mom now. She loves the couch, walks, runs, car rides.
Daisy loves to cuddle and sleep. She loves toys & only chews toys that are handed to her. She had to be house trained & leash trained. She learned fast & loves treats & praise. When I go away she stays with my dtr & bf… they love her too. She barks very little. I take her with me everywhere I can.
Despite the neglect Daisy received from her 1st owners, she remains a loving, sweet, playful pup. I can tell people, don’t worry, when Daisy runs gleefully to them. She’ll lie down & roll over for tummy rubs. She has a 10lb ball she picks up & runs with. She has power. She used to drag that salon chair all over their yard, even tried to drag it out & escape. She makes me laugh & smile everyday
Daisy has kidney stones. There’s a lot of them & the doc says she can’t pass them. She bleeds when she pees, has an urgency to pee often and you can see she’s straining uncomfortably. She needs surgery to remove the stones. Started her on a new medical diet.
I’m living on a fixed income at 63yo. If Daisy had been given access to water & not getting dehydrated as a puppy perhaps her kidneys would be fine. She deserved better. She now deserves to be a young healthy dog.
