2 year old pug surrendered with broken leg under suspicious circumstances

Meet Daisy, an adorable two-year-old pug who desperately needs our help! Daisy was surrendered with a terribly painful injury, her front leg broken. Her old owners decided they could no longer care for her due to her injuries. Thankfully, Daisy is now in the loving hands of Pooch Savers, but she’s facing a tough journey ahead.

Daisy has a compound fracture, and while her leg is currently splinted in hopes of healing without surgery, we’ll need to re-evaluate her progress with x-rays in two weeks. If her bones aren’t healing properly, she will need surgery involving metal plates, which could bring the total cost of her care to around $4,000.

Update 11/19
We received some tough news today about Daisy. Her leg isn’t healing as hoped with just the splint, and she’s now going to need orthopedic surgery.

Her vet bills are already significant, with numerous vet visits, x-rays, splint changes and medications and now we are looking at over $4,000 for her surgery so any donation—big or small—would make a world of difference. Update 12/03
Daisy recently underwent surgery to have a rod and pins inserted in her leg. The pins are expected to be removed in about six weeks, so she needs to stay calm and be separated from the other dogs to avoid further injury.

We’ve only had her for about a month and recently discovered that she is also pregnant. She’s due next week and is expecting three puppies. X-rays show that the puppies are healthy, and their hearts are beating. Please keep Daisy and her babies in your thoughts and prayers.

Despite the pain and betrayal she’s endured, Daisy’s spirit remains unbroken. She is charming, playful, smart, and sweet! She’s also resilient, and deserving of a forever home filled with love and kindness.

Daisy’s journey to healing hasn’t been easy, and her medical care has been extensive. Although she is now healed from her leg surgery, while she was still recovering, she gave birth to 3 puppies - sadly, only one survived but we need your help to cover her vet bills
