My daughter Mya and I were "window shopping" on OfferUp 6 years ago and an ad with what can best be described as terrible photos of a dog that wont sit still, caught our eyes. We had 2 dogs at the time but jumped in and started messaging the seller. The seller seemed to know only 1 thing about this dog; that they wanted $250 for "it". No age, no sex, no breed. Long story short, we rescued her.

Daisy was diagnosed with immune mediated hemolytic anemia in 12/25 and required months of a high dose steroid to suppress her immune system. While her muscles grew due to the steroid, her ligaments were stretching and she ultimately tore her ACL/CCL in both knees. She's been undergoing conservative treatment at Germantown Animal Hospital, Germantown WI. She hasn't been evaluated by an orthopedist.

Daisy is a fixture we can't live without. She's the smartest, most comforting, best behaved girl we've ever loved. She has 4 cat siblings that mostly turn up their noses at her but she loves animals and people immediately. And vice versa. She's a lover, no matter what's going on. She loves to get "treats" on car rides like suckers at the bank and pup cups of course. A great watch dog and friend.

I have no pet insurance. Daisy's back legs are getting weaker everyday and soon she won't be able to walk. Mya was just t boned in my new suv which has since been totaled. We have a 28 year old sedan to share between work and school and I just don't have the 10k to fix her.
