I adopted Daisy in Dec. 2023 from the Pulaski County Humane Society, right after moving into my first apartment alone. She’s been with me through the grief of losing family, a breakup, and the ups and downs of adulthood. She’s my little shadow, my safe space, and my heart.

Daisy suddenly became very lethargic and stopped eating. I took her to Hillcrest Animal Hospital in Little Rock, and they said she urgently needs lab work and hospitalization. The cause isn’t clear yet, but she’s seriously ill. Time is critical for her recovery.

Daisy has a calming, intuitive presence. She always knows when I need comfort and stays close. She has helped me through heartbreak, grief, and big life changes. She’s quiet, sweet, loving, and the heart of my home.

As a full-time public school teacher living on a fixed income, I wasn’t financially prepared for this emergency. Daisy’s care is more than I can manage on my own right now. Your support—of any amount—would mean everything to us both.
