About this campaign
We found Daisy Mae at the Irving Animal Shelter in Texas. She had been in and out 2 times before we came and she suffered with some pretty bad anxiety. Previous adopters had not been able to handle her anxiety. In our meeting, however, she came up to everyone, and let us love on her. She was so sweet and chill. We all immediately fell in love with her and knew we could give her a loving home.
Upon her arrival, she was very timid; not even wanting to go outside. After 2 weeks of patience and love she had grown much more confident. Now she loves going on walks and runs straight to the door when she hears the leash. She is such a cuddle bug and wedges her way between anyone laying on the bed and places her paw on your face.
This is just not the kind of money we have laying around. Routine medical care is something we were prepared to handle, but nothing to this extent. Not to sound cliche, but having this help would mean so so much to us. Daisy Mae feels just apart of the family now as our kids
When we took her in for a check up, we were unfortunately told she had 4 fractued teeth(along with 2 ear infections and hook worms) A specialist at Main Street Veterinary Hospital informed us she would need 2 root canals in her upper canines and her lowers would need sealants. Were were thankful it was not worse and the prognosis was good, but hard to hear none the less.
Daisy Mae gets so excited when we come home, her butt wiggles so frantically she can help but fall to the floor and rolls straight to her back for the belly rub. It is the cutest thing watching her chase after moths and little bugs, chomping at the air and jumping to try and catch them. She is quite the chewer and we have had to say goodbye to a few toys, some shoes, and a pillow or two.
