About this campaign

We adopted Daisy and her sibling on 7/3/25 from a local rescue after losing 3 pets in the span of a year. Within a week of having her we noticed breathing issues associated with feeding times that caused concern and had her at the ER vet twice in a weekend.

Daisy is diagnosed with PRAA, a congenital deformity that causes her right aortic arch to form around her esophagus and essentially cinches off her esophagus so food cannot pass through to her stomach. This resulted in a large pouch to form in front of the deformity to hold the food that cannot pass. She has been on a liquid diet since July. This dx is confirmed with Dr. Davies at Northstar vet.

Daisy is such a spunky little thing with a classic tortie attitude. She loves to “hunt” hummingbirds from the livingroom window and follow our youngest daughter around to bat at all of her toys throughout the day. She is a sweet soul that we cannot fathom losing now that we have had her. Without treatment she will continue to have aspiration pneumonia and will likely not make it to one year of age

As any family with small kids, we are not able to afford several thousands of dollars. We are hoping that we can raise enough money to get her the surgery so that she does not have continued visit to the vet with pneumonia. We want her healthy.
