About this campaign

Daisy is a rescue. She had been bred for puppies and then put in a shelter. She had scars on her ears, legs, and elbows and had a lot of anxiety and was quite thin. I found her after my last lab, Maggie, died at age 14-1/2. Daisy does not like to be left alone and lets you know it with her BIG bark. She has lived at home with me for the past 10 years and is almost always with me.

She loves the water, so swimming for her ball has always made her happy. I have low vision and bi-polar disorder and she has been my rock for 10 years. I have no children or family close to where I live so she is my sole companion. We live in SE Virginia now, after living in Michigan & Montana, where we hiked together a lot, so we can go to the beach. She is good with kids though.

Daisy loves her ball and treats. She will bark for both things if not given to her upon demand! She is a very beautiful dog with a gorgeous smile. Daisy is very stoic in that she does not complain at all when in pain or at the vet. Her eyes get so droopy when she is sleepy I used to think she was part bloodhound.

Daisy was diagnosed with Cushing's disease 6 months ago and has a spinal compression issue that is affecting her back legs., as well as arthritis. She has had incontinence issues but I am dealing with it and she does still get outside most of the time. I have spent over $7000 on medications, special food, mobility aids, doggy diapers, etc.

I was struggling with my own medical debts and now have maxed out my credit cards with Daisy's care and student loans are due January. I would just like some help for the last months of her life. I have been spending close to $1000/mo on her since February.
