Daisy is an 11-year-old Chihuahua in San Francisco, CA, who needs $498 for aspiration (Full Cytology) and sedation.

Daisy lives in a studio apartment with me. There are other dogs on the premises but not all the owners are apt to bring their dogs out (what a crime!); we were big walkers to the nearby parks, a lot, 3 times a day, often me carrying Daisy until she unexpectedly started refusing; she is patient with a scooter and we get to the vet on the 35 pound mobile scooter.

Daisy is quite observant, other dogs here, she is very territorial, loves to interact with cats, actually, and doesn't know her size, unfortunately, and will act aggressively towards very large dogs. Since her spondylosis diagnosis she is now limited to potty breaks around the property but it was landscaped in the city renovation a few years ago so many dogs stop and 'break' out front.

I knit outfits for the fosters (half completed in the picture), Daisy was a foster, and one night, it was thunder and lightening, hard to believe but I have a small studio - windows covering two walls and the lightening came through and hit Daisy! Honestly, and I was so moved for her, I knit a mini-Daisy (calling him Duke/Dukey - her favorite friend who 'lights up' for her (LED inside).

Because Daisy had a tumor extracted which was discovered when she was neutered about a year ago - she may be prone to another the vet suggested after noncancerous x-ray findings, and now on Rimadyl indefinitely with spondilyiosis, the vet saw a lump close to where her previous lump was, she said and suggested an aspiration to view the tissue.

I underestimated the cost of the x-rays so am paying some of the funds out of pocket. The rescue says their other dogs take priority; Rimadyl is all they can help with, called me 'noble.' I can't believe Daisy can go from very active to walking 3 minutes without some help.
