Adopted 10 years ago from Lost Dog Rescue, Daisy is a 54lb mixed breed living in Silver Spring, MD, with me, my two teen daughters, and two other rescue dogs. She is a beloved family member and emotional support. Due to severe bilateral pelvic malformations and a narrowed canal, she has lost significant mobility. We live in a home where she is now on strict floor-level activity restriction.

Daisy has significant bilateral pelvic malformation and a narrowed pelvic canal causing chronic pain and mobility loss. After a high-dose course of Carprofen and Gabapentin, she still suffers from breakthrough pain. We are seeking an orthopedic specialist consultation and CT imaging for surgical planning at Animal Place Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Pathipati to save her quality of life.

Daisy is the heart of our home. She’s never met a soul she didn’t love. She wagged her way into our lives 10 years ago and has been our constant through every family loss. She was my "physical therapist" after my TBI, patiently helping me learn to walk again. She’s an "Alpha Mom" to our younger rescues and the light of my daughters’ lives.
