About this campaign

Our beloved Airedale Daisy is 12. Ever since she came to our house as a little puppy, she has always been the sunshine in our lives, making our days brighter. With her kind heart and good disposition, she has not only stolen our hearts, but the hearts of the four street-rescue cats that live with us.

Daisy has a lovely personality: quiet, tender and loving. She loves to play fetch and has a great sense of humor. Daisy is happy anywhere, as long as we are with her. She has several comfy mats, but often insists on sleeping in our bed. Her favorite activities are riding in a car or going to a park. She still has a little rubber dinosaur that came with her 12 years ago from the breeder.

Echocardiogram is not a common procedure, it is only done at a few specialty animal hospitals and it costs way more than we can afford (at least $500-600 including the echocardiogram and obligatory visit to specialist before). Any help at all would be immensely appreciated.

Airedales' average lifespan - 13 years, Daisy is 12 and we face a critical situation. She is short of breath, has heart murmur and labored heavy breathing when resting. Our vet urged to have an echocardiogram ASAP. In addition to 5 animals at home, we care for many feral cats (feed, treat, neuter, vaccinate). Our finances were stretched thin as it was, and with Covid-19 we lost most of our income.

We have four cats, all street rescues. They often take advantage of Daisy's kindness, eating out of her bowl and sleeping on her mats and she just sighs and moves to another spot (she is unique in this respect, Airedales are a hunting breed and are notoriously hard to be persuaded to accept cats). Even after that she still loves them!
